You know what time it is...

So the time of year has come, where musicfans rejoice like sportsfans do at the time of the world cup: I am of course referring to the Eurovision Song Contest. In the next couple of posts i'm gonna reflect on the talent mass, and what songs I think are worthy of attention.

I was lucky enough to meet a few of the artists prior to the competition. First up, the debuting nation of Georgia. Apparantly also a country, Georgia are participating in the contest with the country's most popular artist.

Here is the interview I conducted with Σόπο, the singer from Georgia prior to the contest.

Me: "Hello Σόπο, a pleasure to meet you. Are you excited about Georgia entering the european music scene?"

Σόπο: "Κατάφερε να."

Me: "I'm sorry, what was that?"

Σόπο: "Αργότερα αποφασίστηκε να αλλάξει ο τίτλος του σε Visionary dream".

Me: "What are you talking about? You're not making any sense? In English please?"

Σόπο: "Χώρες οι οποίες!!! δεν έλαβαν μέρος αλλά μεταδόθηκε, σε αυτές ο διαγωνισμός!!"

Me: "Is this some kind of cruel joke? Who put you up to this? What's going on?"

Σόπο: "Ελλάδα!"

Me: "You know what? I'm leaving... I ain't having this shit. Damn you, woman..."

(I get up and leave the room)
